Job Description:
Summary:As the Program Manager, you will contribute to
delivering a high-level of customer satisfaction. Acting as the
first line of response, you will be tasked with gathering
information and ensuring action items are completed to resolve any
open issues within a specific program. With your engineering
background, you will be able to apply your technical skills to
assist the team in developing course of action plans.
This is a great opportunity for individuals with a background in

Responsibilities:
- Utilize a phase gate program management process, employing
industry best practices, and experience to enforce project
standards, mitigate project risks and achieve contractual
requirements while meeting internal targets.
- Responsible for comprehending the Statement of Work and
Contract for assigned projects, and ensuring that both the Company
and the customer remain compliant.
- Work with internal departments to develop project plans, risk
assessments, action items, milestones, resource requirements and
critical path items.
- Analyze all scope changes relative to baseline plans to
identify impacts to schedule, cost, deliverables and risk.
Proactively lead the analysis, mitigation plans and negotiated
resolution due to scope changes.
- Act as the primary point of customer contact to foster a
trusting relationship with coordination of sales and production
management. Lead all communications of project status, reviews,
KPIs, metrics, reports, mitigation plans, risks, assertions and
negotiations.
- Track project milestones and drive action items to timely
completion among project participants to achieve desired project
results.
- Establish formal communication procedures that clearly document
contractual and technical agreement, status, scope change,
assertions, schedule impacts and risks.
- Coordinate continuous improvement and cost reduction
initiatives.
- Assess project risk. Identify and resolve conflicts, elevating
to executive leadership as appropriate. Lead the development of
contingency and mitigation plans to complete project deliverables
on schedule, on budget and compliant with contractual and technical
requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or a related
discipline from four-year college or university
- Minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PMP certification preferred - not required
- Aerospace background and aircraft interior industry experience
required
- Composite experience and involvement with airline unique
projects preferred
- Experience with large-scale project(s) preferred
- Possess strong working knowledge of contracts, engineering
design standards, FAA certification, quality systems for
manufacturing and program management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the mechanical
engineering drawings and contractual documents with sound
problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations and
letters on controversial or complex topics to customers, executives
or project teams.
- Ability to create cohesive plans, proposals, negotiation
strategies with input from others.
- Ability to confidently articulate risks to the executive team,
as necessary.
- Ability to multi-task, work in teams, work independently,
travel or telecom at short notice and/or extended hours to achieve
milestones, as necessary.
- Excellent MS Office and MS Project skills.
