The Director of Project Management ("DPM") leads the Bank's Project Management Office ("PMO") function. Accordingly, the DPM develops and implements policies, procedures and other activities required to provide effective control of significant projects to enhance Bank products, services, and capabilities. These activities include but are not limited to oversight of the PMO and the project portfolio process; ensuring compliance with project management policies and standards; and monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators related to project management. Ongoing responsibilities include enhancing the maturity of the program at the enterprise level.

DIRECT REPORTS Incumbent will have direct reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The DPM bears primary responsibility and accountability for the performance of the PMO, oversight over individual projects subject to the PMO process, and periodic reporting of Project Management performance at the project and enterprise levels.

  • Oversees the project portfolio processes including project planning, portfolio governance, project methodology framework, and resource capacity management.
  • Ensures project management standards are being executed across the project portfolio.
  • Performs critical analysis of project proposals to determine the time frame, funding limitations, and appropriate process for accomplishing projects.
  • Establishes a reliable and visible cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and resource allocation, whereby efficiency gains and impact are measurable.
  • Creates and leverages KPIs to drive traction and visibility and to understand project progress and identify potential roadblocks across teams and projects.
  • Documents the project scope, budget, and justification and monitors project development, and execution.
  • Evaluates projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
  • Identifies and manages project risks and issues and implements appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Provides financial reports, project dashboards and budget outlines to senior management.
  • Drives improvements into the PMO program to enhance program maturity.
  • Creates and maintains staffing plans. Ensures the team is properly trained and staffed to handle the projected workload, both from internal staffing and external staffing support.
  • Implements project communications including project steering committee meetings and status reports.
  • Provides organizational and cultural change leadership and change management.
  • Periodically reviews and updates PMO policies and processes.
  • Hires PMO staff as necessary and appropriate to fulfill the essential functions of the PMO. QUALIFICATIONS
    Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline preferred. Experience:
      • 7-10 years of leadership experience and a track record of success in program management, product management, management consulting, strategy, or a related field with particular focus on banking products and technology. Skills/Ability:
        • Skilled at project planning, forecasting, and tracking.
        • Experience with data analysis, presentation and creating dashboards.
        • Systematic and analytical problem-solving ability.
        • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to prioritize needs and build productive working relationshipswhile also holding teams and individuals accountable to deliverables.
        • Demonstrates critical thinking capabilities with strong attention to detail.
        • Experience concurrently managing teams, workstreams or projects.
        • People management experience, including building a strong team.
        • Demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving to achieve goals.
        • Demonstrated skills in verbal communication and listening, writing, and providing excellent service to customers.
        • A high level of integrity and trust.
        • Proven ability to initiate and manage projects that will affect other departments and functions, as well as the corporate environment.

          $165,000.00 - $225,000.00 / year Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
