Overview
We are currently seeking a Deputy Director, Centralized Operations.
-The Deputy Director, Centralized Operations will be responsible
for and assist in the management of various operational teams
including, but not limited to: Central Processing Department,
Branch Support, Deposit Account Services, Item Processing, Branch
Operations, Customer Service Center and Risk & Operations. This
individual will also work closely with the BSA, Compliance and
Legal departments to ensure compliance with all laws and
regulations applicable to the processes within these groups. This
position will create and maintain a culture of continuous
improvement across all aspects of our business unit.
Responsibilities
- Provides management to the staffing in defined areas of
Centralized Operations including all HR related activities such as;
recruiting, performance evaluations, coaching, training, mentoring
and score cards.
- Responsible for driving operational excellence, through
efficiency and collaboration, this individual will manage a team of
resources to achieve the department's operational goals.
- This individual will partner with various line of business
leadership to develop and implement strategic priorities for
operations.
- Proactively implement process improvements to ensure service
quality, service level agreements and Operational Excellence.
Implement metrics for tracking of operational efficiency
improvement and make adjustments to processes and procedures to
meet the approved strategy.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the bank's core and ancillary
deposit systems and will serve as strategic adviser to the
direction of the systems that impact deposit operations. Will also
work closely with business units to provide subject matter
expertise for core ancillary deposit systems.
- Create and maintain a collaborative work environment that
facilitates the achievement of business plan objectives.Provide
leadership, direction and support to all Operations staff.
- Develop and implement effective processes to identify,
escalate, report and track risk related issues.
- Ensure that departments have strong controls and procedures in
place to comply with all financial and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
Administration, or EconomicsPreferred minimum of 10 years'
experience in Deposit Operations with a mid to large Financial
Institution.
- 15+ years of management experience
- Experience managing multiple, complex teams
- Strong analytical and process improvement capabilities with
accomplishment of efficiency gains/cost savings
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to
effectively interact with all levels of the organization including
senior management
- Excellent decision-making, problem solving and organizational
skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment,
including ability to negotiate, compromise and demonstrate
diplomacy in sensitive situations and to interact effectively with
senior management
- Ability to build effective relationships internally with
multiple business units
- Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key
employees, top management, and client groups to take desired
action
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. -
-Ability to manage numerous simultaneous priorities in a dynamic
and fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism, self-motivation and sense of
urgency
