Systems Engineering Center is seeking a strong, technically sound
engineering leader for the role of Assembly, Integration and Test
(AI&T) who is committed and passionate about creating
innovative, cost-effective solutions for the overall assembly,
integration and test of the mission payload. The successful
candidate will serve as the AI&T Integrated Product Team Lead
(IPTL) on a large-scale, and very complex Intelligence,
Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Communications (ISRC) Space
Development Program. The AI&T IPTL will work with the Chief
Engineer and the SEC lead, to drive all AI&T execution
activities on the program. Responsibilities include leading a team
through the assembly, integration and test of a RF Mission payload
system composed of hardware, software and firmware subsystems. The
successful candidate will interface with cross-functional product
teams, sub-contractors, program management, and functional
managers, as well as, non-engineering organizations such as
finance, operations, supply chain, contracts and mission assurance
to ensure the successful execution and delivery of the final
system. The SEC Assembly Integration and Test Lead will: * Manage a
team through the assembly, integration and testing of a Mission
payload, which includes complex electronics, mechanical, RF and
digital subsystems and units. * Lead all payload level functional,
environmental and qualification testing activities * Establish, and
implement a comprehensive integration and test program that ensures
that requirements verified by test are instituted and all necessary
Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) work products are
incorporated into that plan * Achieve AI&T program objectives
on schedule, and consistent with quality and technical standards
while meeting the program cost targets * Foster culture in-line
with high performance and cohesive teams necessary to meet program
cost and schedule objectives. * Plan, coordinate, and communicate
with the cross-functional team responsible for delivering an RF
payload system, subsystems, products and services. * Manage the
execution of all aspects of the design, development, integration,
and test of the AI&T IPT work products * Work alongside the
Chief Engineer and other IPTLs to manage the SEC integration and
test team. * Provide AI&T technical support over the entire RF
product life cycle development activities, including: requirements
analysis, validation and verification; hardware and software design
and development; system level integration, interface definition;
and algorithm development. * Support the development of cost
proposals; risk and opportunity management, and ensure the
technical solution meets the system requirements, as well as the
development costs. Required Skills * Minimum of 12+ years
demonstrated experience with at least 5 years working space
hardware and systems engineering * Minimum of 5 years demonstrated
engineering leadership experience as an Integrated Product Team
Lead (IPTL), functional or program manager * Must have experience
with assembly, integration and test of mechanical and RF systems
for a high reliability space development program * Experience in
developing and executing system level test flows and integration
and test plans and procedures for space projects * Understanding of
System Engineering and design work products critical to system test
and verification * Experience supporting test, verification and
sell-off of space based products * Fundamental understanding of RF
principles and system capabilities * Knowledge and experience in
software/hardware integration and test of embedded, real-time
complex systems * Experience with system or subsystem level
Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) * Experience
with thermal, vibration and EMI testing * Knowledge of Special Test
Equipment (STE) design, testing or operation with ability to lead a
STE development effort * Experience with conducting technical
reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, CTSR, CTSB etc.) * Experience in leading
engineering technical and anomaly resolutions to closure *
Capability to lead shipping and transportation effort * Experience
with developing and presenting technical briefings to the customer
and company leadership * Experience with cost and schedule
management using a government approved Earned Value Management
System (EVMS) * Experience identifying engineering resources and
skill sets required to complete assigned tasks * Experience
establishing and maintaining working relationship with all levels
of the organization, including customers, users, and other peer
groups * Active TS/SCI or SSBI Clearance Desired Skills: *
Experience in satellite Network communication systems and
architectures * Experience in proposal development including
creations of Basis-of-Estimates * Experience with Software
integration, test, and configuration management * Knowledge of
Payload shipping and transportation processes Required Education: *
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related STEM
degree *U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position needs
an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.*
