Provides administrative and clerical support for all aspects of
calibration inventory control and the coordination of calibration
services in accordance with company established procedures and
standards while performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process new devices into the calibration system, maintains an
accurate record of all calibration requirements, calibrations,
certifications, and the location of equipment at all times.
Coordinates the calibration services with internal, and external
Check-in measurement test equipment when manufacturing and or QA
drops off gages. Records and tracks the location of all equipment
in calibration. Controls the physical movement of equipment within
and out of the Calibration Lab and makes location changes, as
Recalls equipment as necessary for Calibration and coordinates
internal calibration of equipment.
Performs calibration, testing, troubleshooting and repairs as
necessary, data collection and report completion on a wide range of
mechanical and test equipment.
Use established internal procedures as well as industry
standards, manufacturer procedures for the proper calibration and
troubleshooting of mechanical measuring and test equipment.
Completes required documentation to certify the verification and
calibration of mechanical measuring and test equipment.
Provides recommendations for improving calibration
Must have knowledge and a clear understanding of VACCO's
internal Gage instructions and standards.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing procedures, including work
order processing. Familiar with MS software such as Word, Excel,
Access and Outlook.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one
(3) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Due to the sensitive nature of our defense contracts, must be
able to provide proof of U.S. Citizen status.
