Its products are used in sensing and actuating systems by the aerospace and defense, oil and gas, and medical device industries around the world. - -Hermetic Seal products include qualified military connectors, high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) bulkhead connectors, very high temperature connectors, and ruggedized connectors that combine glass seals with advanced PEEK (polyetheretherketone) molding technology. - -AMETEK Hermetic Seal, a business unit of AMETEK EIP is located in Rosemead. -The Inside Sales Account Representative II, is an excellent introductory role for Commercial or Technically minded professionals looking to launch or continue a career in manufacturing. - The position balances customer and business needs by evaluating and responding to customer quote requests in coordination with factory operations and the field sales team. - You will specialize in understanding the technical aspects of the products and explain them to current and potential customers. -Success is realized by securing orders and providing excellent service to established Aerospace and Defense customers of the Electronic Interconnects and Packaging (EIP) Business Unit of AMETEK. -The position will assess costs and make price and scheduling decisions utilizing a fully integrated ERP system. - -This is more of a "farming" sales role vs. a "hunting" role. This role will be mostly nurturing current customer relationships and following up on inbound prospects and leads. - The successful applicant should be a self-motivated, confident individual who is excited to be an integral part of a growing organization and would like to develop the skills to pursue career options in Engineering, Outside Sales or Management. -Major Duties:

  • Process customer requests for quotes using standard costs and gross margin targets
  • Complete contract review with supporting documentation.
  • Provide product support to customers with assistance from Sales Engineering.
  • Coordinate quotes follow-up, customer account review, and business development opportunities with the Field Sales team.
  • Understand the customer's and prospect's problems and challenges and develop solutions to meet their needs.
  • Negotiate price, terms, and conditions within a delegated level of authority.
  • Process and manage purchase orders through ERP Order Entry.
  • Manage RMA requests in accordance with defined processes.
  • Ensure timely communication with customers via email or phone or indirectly via field sales, manufacturer's -representatives, or internal quality/engineering departments.
  • Monitor to ensure compliance within defined import/export regulations.
  • Assist with technical questions and technical demonstrations internally and externally.
  • Maintain records in compliance with company policies. Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree (Technical Degrees preferred) -and equivalent commercial experience selling into technical markets (i.e. Aerospace and Defense)
    • Ability to communicate professionally (written and verbal)
    • Highly developed personal organization and time management skills
    • Ability to balance shifting priorities
    • Ability to remain constructive during dispute resolution
    • Foundational understanding of technical specifications or technical products.
    • Willingness to contribute to group meetings
    • Travel occasionally as required
    • Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office applications)
    • Experience using MRP and/or CRM systems (desirable)
    • The position requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule.
