Compensation: $150,000 yearly Responsibilities: As an Automotive
Sales Consultant, you’ll be responsible for: Customer Engagement &
Support Greet customers as they arrive at the dealership in a
friendly, professional manner. Helping customers explore vehicles
that match their needs and preferences. Providing detailed
information about vehicle features, benefits, and options.
Arranging and accompanying customers on test drives, and answering
questions about the vehicle. Process Assistance Assisting customers
throughout the buying process, including discussing finance and
lease options (as appropriate). Coordinating with other departments
(e.g., finance, service) to support customer needs. Using the CRM
system to record customer interactions and follow-up activities.
Follow-Up & Relationship Building Following up with prospective
customers to answer questions or offer updated inventory and
prices. Maintaining positive relationships with previous customers
to encourage return visits and referrals. Product Knowledge &
Presentation Staying up-to-date on product knowledge (vehicle
models, features, incentives, etc). Ensuring vehicles are clean,
presented well, and properly displayed for customers. As an
Internet Sales Consultant, you’ll be responsible for: Lead Response
& Communication Respond promptly and professionally to internet
inquiries , phone calls, and online messages from prospective
customers. Communicate with customers via email, phone, text, and
CRM tools to answer questions, share vehicle information, and
schedule appointments. CRM & Lead Management Accurately enter and
update all customer lead information in the CRM system . Use lead
management tools effectively to track, follow up, and prioritize
incoming leads. Customer Qualification & Support Conduct phone or
digital surveys to understand customer needs and preferences.
Qualify leads and set appointments for customers to visit the
dealership or take test drives. Provide detailed information about
vehicle features, benefits, and options when appropriate. Customer
Experience Help ensure a positive online-to-in-store experience by
following up with customers regularly and assisting with the next
steps in the process. Maintain a high degree of professionalism and
customer satisfaction in all interactions. Product Knowledge
Develop and maintain strong knowledge of manufacturer brands,
models, features, incentives, and current inventory to better
assist prospective buyers. Qualifications: Driver’s License : Valid
driver’s license with a clean driving record. Communication Skills
: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with
customers and explain vehicle features clearly. Customer Service
Focus : Strong customer service orientation with the ability to
build rapport and maintain positive interactions. Interpersonal
Skills : Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor; ability to
work well with a diverse team and customer base. Computer
Proficiency : Comfortable using CRM systems and dealership software
to manage customer information and follow?ups. Work Ethic &
Motivation : Self?motivated, goal?oriented, and able to work in a
fast?paced, performance?driven environment. Adaptability :
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and
month?end shifts, to meet customer demand. Preferred Experience (if
applicable) : Previous sales, customer service, retail, or
automotive industry experience is a plus, but not required —
